New Management Team at Ngoma Safari Lodge

Hospitality group Africa Albida Tourism has appointed a new management couple, Wesley and Roxanne Cragg, to run Ngoma Safari Lodge in Chobe, Botswana.

Africa Albida Tourism (AAT) chief executive Ross Kennedy said: “We are delighted to have Wesley and Roxanne join Ngoma Safari Lodge in the role of lodge managers.

“With backgrounds and experience that includes such brands as Singita, as well as energy and ambition that is tangible, they have both already made their mark on colleagues and guests alike,” Mr Kennedy said.

“Their first month in the position saw Ngoma Safari Lodge break all occupancy records since opening seven years ago, so it was a baptism of fire that they passed with flying colours!”

Roxanne’s focus will be on front of house, the guest experience, food and beverage and administrative duties, while Wesley will be responsible for guides and activities, vehicles, maintenance, projects and security.

“Their blend of skills and strengths, along with clear values in teamwork will stand Ngoma Safari Lodge in good stead to further grow a well-earned reputation,” Mr Kennedy said.

Mr Cragg said they are extremely excited to work at such a magnificent lodge and are looking forward to bringing innovative ideas to the property and building a strong team.

With over a decade of guiding experience, I am extremely excited to get involved with the training of the guides, and escalating the safari experience to the next level,” he said.

Mrs Cragg added: “With a keen eye for detail and enthusiasm for food and beverage, I am looking forward to working closely with the back and front of house staff to exceed guest expectations.”

The couple came from Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, in South Africa, where Wesley held the position of senior guide, while Roxanne worked as reception manager. Both have also previously worked at Singita Sabi Sand and Singita Kruger National Park.

The couple took up their new roles at Ngoma Safari Lodge, a boutique eight-suite luxury property on the secluded western edge of Chobe National Park, in July, replacing previous managers Jarryd and Frances King.

Ngoma Safari Lodge is operated by AAT, whose portfolio includes Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Club, Victoria Falls Safari Suites, Lokuthula Lodges and The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show.
