After undergoing a complete reinvention, Wilderness Safaris’ extraordinary new Jao Camp has reopened in the heart of Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

Refurbished in a 1920s Explorer theme along with a touch of its classical charm, creating a breath-taking effect of original chic safari. Its beauty is heightened by earthy hues.

New owners who are investing substantially in the lodge and the surrounding area. They are entirely refurbishing the lodge, extending the conservancy boundaries.

In addition to upgrading DumaTau Camp which has been part of Wilderness Safaris offering in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in Northern Botswana since 1997...

The rebuild of Wilderness Safaris’ King’s Pool Camp is well underway, with its nine luxurious tented suites set to open in the Linyanti Wildlife Concession.

In 2019 Drifters will introduce a new generation vehicle (Hino Truck) that offers significant improvements and advantages in comfort, safety and reliability.

This year we have extended the closure dates of Camp Xakanaxa & Savute Safari Lodge for some exciting refurbishments at both lodges.

The rebuild and complete reinvention of Jao Camp, due to open 1 June 2019, as well as the introduction of the camp's luxurious and brand new Jao Villas.

We recently refurbished all our game drive vehicles (done by our friends at Kavango Engineering in Maun).

We have built a brand-new spa. The new spa has doubled in size and is located on the first floor of the lodge.
