Mashatu has been very busy over the past few months with an extensive refurbishment of its main Lodge. All of its suites have had a makeover and are looking bright, fresh, and right up to date – and with a definite dash of “wow factor”. Families will love that Suites 1 and 2 are now available as inter-leading accommodation, while Suite 3 & Suite 4 now offer additional space and a new king-size bed in addition to the ¾ double bed. All other suites at Mashatu have three beds including a double, a ¾ double and a single.
Mashatu is very proud to be able to offer this high level of accommodation, including all meals, vehicle safaris, snacks, teas and coffees at a rate of only $510 in 2016 – outstanding value for southern Africa and amazing value for Botswana.
Back at Mashatu Tent Camp, there have also been a number of changes including new duvets in all the tents. Tent 1 has a ramp and has been modified for guests with disabilities – plus the camp also has a vehicle adapted to ensure that these guests are both safe and comfortable on safari.
The Discovery Room at the Lodge has also seen some changes, with all of the small ‘living’ animals being released back into the wild. We feel much happier now that the snakes, scorpions and lizards are enjoying their natural habitat. The Discovery Room will be upgraded to serve as a facility for natural history whilst the outdoor crocodile area is being opened up with walkways and seating areas for bird photography, meditation or general relaxation. Mashatu looks forward to welcoming guests to see their new look!
