This is only a few of the fervent comments received from delighted guests that have experienced Lunch on our ever popular Floating Restaurant “The Raft”. If ever you find yourself in Kasane and not sure where you should satisfy those hunger pains, head for the Flame of Africa Jetty. A short water transfer on the Chobe and you will be amongst friends-sharing a barbeque lunch on a Floating Restaurant located in the middle of the Chobe River and viewing the profuse and varied game on the adjacent Sedudu Island. And they call this lunch!!! It’s a game-viewing experience with a culinary twist…. Not to be missed!! Open daily for lunch, this well positioned venue can seat a maximum of 64 clients.

Just a point to ponder–The Raft has little to no impact on the environment and was built with 90% re-cycled material. All restaurant items are unbreakable with every scrap of refuse being bagged and disposed of off-site.

At Flame of Africa we also boast an impressive fleet of vehicles which include a large number of air-conditioned transfer vehicles as well as Game viewing vehicles – based in Kasane. These Game viewing vehicles have been specifically designed with you, the traveller, in mind. With the specially built-in extension for cooler boxes and first aid kit, and the innovative cooling water spray system situated in the vehicle, you are set for a comfortable, cool, game viewing excursion with room for your legs!! Regarding water activities, our boats range from the smallest fishing boats to the large Flame 1 that can easily house a maximum of 49 guests.

Thus the choice is there—from viewing the prolific game in the Chobe Game Reserve , to coming up really close to the magnitude of game at the water’s edge whilst on a boat cruise.
