An exclusive, year-round game viewing Central Kalahari experience – Dinaka
The latest addition to the Ker & Downey Botswana portfolio is revealing its secrets already! During a three-day photo reconnaissance trip in October, the area proved just how rich and diverse its wildlife inhabitants are.
The Central Kalahari is often seen as a seasonal area, best visited in the summer months, also known as the “green season” due to the lush vegetation after the first summer rains. But this is not the case for the private conservancy within which Dinaka lies. Away from the migration routes of the Boteti River system this area provides wildlife with year-round life-giving resources. Healthy numbers of kudu, springbok, eland and other plains game roam the area, closely followed by lion and leopard ever ready to provide a meal for their pride or offspring respectively.
This Central Kalahari camp can be combined with the Okavango Delta and other Northern regions such as Chobe and the Linyanti throughout the year.
