Dinaka Educational Walk with the San Bushman
An exclusive private conservancy hugging the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Dinaka is host to one of the most unique bio-diversities in Southern Africa. This ever-changing desert landscape gives refuge to the Kalahari lion, springbok, Oryx and brown hyena. The camp itself was acquired in 2017 and provides the perfect start or finish to any discerning travellers to Botswana safari.
One of the most well-loved activities in Dinaka is the Educational Walk with the San Bushman. This is a walk with some of the most charismatic gentlemen of San Bushman descent. With our Bushman guides, the walk is a full sensory adventure with sights, sounds, tastes and textures.
Due to the music, the tales, the traps and the sheer magnetism that the Bushman guides bring to the educational walk, the walk has built popularity with both the younger and older generations.
January and February 2020 Green Season Package
Ker & Downey Botswana is proud to announce the roll-out of new opening dates for some of its illustrious camps. Dinaka, in an exclusive private conservancy hugging the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, as well as Kanana located on the Xudum River in the southwest of the Okavango Delta, will be in full operation all year around.
Each camp is unique in its location as well as activities. Dinaka experiences include game drive, night drive, an Educational Walk with the San Bushman, safari walk, an underground photographic bunker as well as a photographic hide. With numerous waterholes around the conservancy, wonderful numbers of game can be seen all throughout game drives and walks.
Kanana sports activities such as game drive, night drive, safari walk, mokoro and motorized boat and is a stark contrast to Dinaka, our Kalahari counterpart.
As of the 1st of January 2020, both these camps will be open throughout the year and can be booked in convenient 4-night to 6-night packages at low season rates with no single supplement costs. Please contact your safari consultant for the new January and February Green Season Packages.
