Mopiri offers its guests the perfect water camp experience. The camp is situated approximately 290kms from Maun. Just completing its first full year of operation the camp has moved forward quickly with plans for its airstrip. The strip situated within a short game drive of the camp will be fully operational for the 2017 season. “We have commitment from the Botswana based charter companies to add us to their circuit which is very exciting” says director Anna Butterfield. With the addition of the landing strip adding Mopiri to a lodge circuit is now easier than ever.
Long known as one of Africa’s great bird watching destinations Mopiri was recently chosen by the Wild Bird Trust as their operational base and operate all their research from the camp. Having the research team at the camp has proved of great interest to both birding and non-birding enthusiasts .
The new Mopiri Spa continues to be innovative, offering treatments both in room or at a number of “hide” locations around the island.
Mopiri Camp in its short time of operating is fast becoming a firm favourite with both the FIT and Family market, opening up air access in 2017 makes a stay at Mopiri easier than ever .
