Natural Selection – Resident pack of Wild Dogs

Wildlife Update

Since opening in June this year, our newest Delta camp, Tuludi, has been blowing everyone away. The camp is located in the Khwai Private Reserve, over 200,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, and the landscape is fit for a fairytale: floodplains stretch as far as the eye can see and virgin riverine forests and expansive floodplain islands attract all the stars of the safari show. In fact, the action hasn’t stopped in front of the camp, with excellent sightings of wild dog, cheetah, lion, leopard, eland bull herds and lots of ellies. Other camps on the concession include our very popular Sable Alley and The Jackal & Hide which offer slightly excellent value and have also seen some incredible sightings. This week one of our guides, Ocean, captured an incredible scene of our resident pack of 18 Wild Dogs (9 adults and 9 puppies) taking down two female lechwes.
