Double impact – safe education for the next generation
Education is a continuous drive; with each child learning a promise is born and that it what Bush Ways Foundation strives to achieve – adventure journeys to the heart of Africa with a lasting impact!
Bush Ways Lodges operate in 3 of the many prime wildlife areas in Botswana and to ensure that the communities that have made such wonders their habitat are sustained, and education is definitely key. The Foundation has recently rolled out 3 projects geared to encourage impactful travel; hope for kids in the wild; for individuals and companies to lend a hand today and be proud of the educational foundation laid out for future generations.
Through #cubsoftheclan Bush Ways Foundation aims to ensure early learning, to make a difference, and work towards an educated nation. In the beautiful haven of Khwai Village, the Foundation has commenced building a pre-school set to educate approximately 30 kids from this hearty community. Currently, together with LAMB International and Naletsana Trust, efforts to sustain this education hub will see continuous drive by the Foundation to create the well needed awareness for the cause.
A similar project will be launched for Chobe soon, where Bush Ways Foundation will do a renovation project and build a Pre – school in the village of Kavimba. This solely to support a retired teacher realise her dream and live her passion of educating young ones from that region at an early age in preparation for Primary School curriculum.
The other project, aimed at supporting literacy efforts in Botswana is the library project. Bush Ways Foundation received books donated by South Pacific School to assist in setting up/refining libraries early next year at 3 different locations (Chobe, Khwai and Khumaga).
All the above are centred on education and early learning for children that do not have access to the resources necessary to lay a foundation for an educated nation. Responsible travel is what Bush Ways foundation is passionate about and we hope the awareness of such needs will encourage individuals from all walks of life to lend a hand.
