Yoga Safari – Accredited yoga teacher

yoga_NatarajasanaYoga Safari and Yoga Alliance accredited yoga teacher Deborah Carter have put together a magical Yoga Safari for June 2014 for only USD 3,230.00 per person sharing for a 9 night safari, a truly incredible price.

The Yoga Safari will visit three of Botswana’s most amazing safari destinations: Khwai, Savute and Chobe.  Each day will include game viewing by vehicle or by boat or on foot and a yoga practice too. There’s nothing quite as wonderful as standing in a yoga pose gazing out into the wild and seeing elephants browsing on the trees. It is MAGIC!  It is also safe as our guide sits patiently watching out for us as we practice.

On arrival into Maun Deborah Carter your Yoga Alliance accredited yoga instructor will meet you and spend your first night at a hotel/lodge in Maun. Over dinner get to know Deborah and hear all about the incredible safari ahead of you.

Maun to Khwai

Early in the morning of June 21st Deborah and your professional safari guide will collect you and we transfer by road and game drive to our first camp in the game rich Khwai area. Our fully serviced tented camp will be ready on our arrival and will be our base from which to explore this amazing area over the next few days. Khwai offers the chance to see zebra, giraffe, leopard, lion, wild dogs and a multitude of other wildlife. Each day we’ll lay down our mats and connect with the natural surroundings through a unique Yoga session specially created for our Yoga Safari.

Khwai to Savute

We head to the Savute region whilst the camp moves to our new location on the Savute Channel. The Savute Channel is a unique environment as the river was dry for over 30 years and recently flowed again bringing with it many different varieties of animals and birds. Our Camp is on the bank of the great Channel, under shady Kalahari apple leaf trees…our activities will be the early morning and afternoon game drives, in our customised game viewing Cruiser. We will also practice yoga everyday and have an opportunity to meditate on the multitude of stars in the sky at night.

Savute to Chobe National Park

We head north today enjoying a picnic lunch as we game drive out of the Savute area and on towards the Chobe River front area where our camp will have magically moved to. The Chobe River front is home to the last biggest elephant herds on earth. The dry season and the relentless Kalahari heat, shrinks all vegetation away from the River, forcing all the life in this part of Botswana to descend on the river front to survive the harsh conditions. During our stay here we will take a boat cruise on the river. We will also find time to enjoy a yoga practice or two during our time in Chobe.

Depart After breakfast, a morning drive has us at Kasane airport in time to connect with your onward flights.
